At CES earlier, Crytek revealed details on the Xbox 360 version of Crysis. The game will be set in a very similar story, but however the game play will be quite different.
This news may or may not be disapointing to the Xbox fans out there eagerly awaiting any info on Crysis for the Xbox.
As a added bonus, we're going to talk to our Executive Editor, Matt Benoit, about the graphics and hardware performance of Crysis.
"Well, in a recent interview with Gamespot a member of the Crysis team revealed that Crysis will build a gap between DX9 and DXX10, he also added that most of the video you've seen, was in DX9. The 360 game will feature the engine from Crysis or new 360 style engine, in DX9 format. Gameplay will be as full-featured as the DX9 enabled PC version, but the pyscics processing will most likely hit the back-burner to make the game look better. At the moment we don't know if the story will change or what will happen, but heres some info on what I think you'll need to run Crysis to beat up the 360 version. 1Gig of ram any speed of DDR2, but low latencys for DDR pc3200 You'll need a 2.2Ghz single core, or a 1.8Ghz dual-core processor. A X2 AMD or a Core Duo varient will work nicely. A X1800 or above, for NVidia 7600GT or above. You'll do yourself some good with a 7600GT by turing your resolution down. But the best way to test would be to wait for a demo."-Matt Benoit More info about this will be featured on Helm Games as it comes.
