SimCity DS will take advantage of both the touch screen AND the microphone, something that there seems a lack off in DS games. It uses the microphone in some interesting ways to. For instance, you will blow into the mic to put out fires in your lands. And what about creative uses of the Stylus? Well, one thing you will have to do is sign off various documents using your Stylus as a pen.
How about wireless capabilities? SimCity has those to. Well, no specific details yet, but we know that they are calling it "wireless data exchange", which might imply that you can swap citys and whatnot from DS to DS.
Heres what the producer of SimCity DS has to say about the game:
“We are very excited to bring the SimCity experience to the Nintendo DS platform,” said Takahiro Murakami, Producer of SimCity DS. “The unique Nintendo DS functionalities inspired us to incorporate many new features to delight the most dedicated SimCity fans. The game is filled with fun surprises that will appeal to new and existing fans of the franchise.”
From what I have read so far on the game, it seems like it will shape to be a pretty solid title. EA has a reputation for releasing poor quality games alot more often than good games, but the Sims games always seem to be pretty top notch for some reason, so im looking forward to it.
