A few days ago, rumour had it that Nintendo Japan Executives held a secret meeting to talk about the possibility of a hard drive coming to the Wii.
The Wii supports SD Cards and already has 512MB Internal Flash Memory. This is fine for games saves, but for downloadable content and Virtual Console downloads, a mere 512MB is really pushing it. And with the other rumour stated that Sega Saturn titles could soon be making its way onto the Virtual Console indicated that Nintendo were looking to a means of memory expansion.
However, a spokesman for Nintendo of Europe just told GamesIndustry.biz that these reports are "pure rumour and speculation."
I'm sure that many people want a Third Party to make it now....
