In a recent interview with IGN, Red Octane (the developers behind the popular Guitar Hero series) revealed that Guitar Hero 3 WILL be heading to all 3 consoles when it comes out, and it WILL have online play/downloadable content for all 3 consoles (including the Wii!).

Also, Red Octane relieved any fears we had about the Wii GH controller. There was some speculation that the standard Wii controllers would be used instead of the guitar, but thankfully this has been laid to rest, the Wii will indeed be using a guitar peripheral. As for any special motion controls, the developers are currently seeking an innovative approach to the use of motion controls, that is if they decide to use them.

Finally, the online play modes were revealed. These include Co-op play and competitive play (and again, all 3 consoles will have these features).
