The Nintendo Mp3 player is coming to Europe on December 8th,2006.
It seems to work alot like the MP3 player that was released in Japan, as a GBA cartridge with a SD card inserted.
The player is specified to work with the GBA so it is obviously not a smaller, DS Lite streamlined cartridge.
The player is also specified to be able to carry over a 150 songs on a 512mb SD card, files are transfered via PC to SD card.
The player will retail for £20 or €30.
Now another question is, will this reach the states?
So far Japan has a DS MP3 player, and soon to be all of Europe.
Most likely Nintendo doesn't plan on competing with the iPod or Zune.
However there is a alternative to buying a expensive imported player for your DS here in the states.
Flash cards although 3rd-party, can be very useful.
And there are some slimmed down for DS Lite only, they usually have flash memory built in but you can get one that accepts SD cards for around $70.
