Living in a place called Dream Land must mean dreams a pretty important, so when kirby wakes up to the shock of not having any dreams durin his nap, he calls upon himself to find out whats going on. It's here where you find out king Dedede has taken the star rod (the power behind dreams) and broken it into 7 pieces.
Making your protagonist a pink marshmellow looking guy is never a good idea, yet HAL Labratory pulled it off. At first Kirby isn't the strongest of characters, so you have to take it upon yourself to make him suck up enemies and swallow them, resulting in the stealing of there power. It's a great concept and works pretty well, with the added puzzles and hidden places to go with certain powers. The main levels are quite easy, yet the bosses are dead hard, sometimes the swap between easy to hard is rather rough and you have to take on the boss a couple of times before actually winning the fight. There are 7 worlds to explore, you get one piece of the star rod in each one, eventually forming the rod and fighting the final boss, nightmare.
The game is very pretty, full of color, that kind of shocked me for an NES game, the only other game i saw that colorful on the NES was super maro 3. The storyline is pretty good, probly could of been better (i would of liked to see the stay puft mashmellow man from ghostbusters in there) but what they give you is well worth the money, go buy this now.
